Crossfire Cancellation Unnoticed

08-Apr-05 11:52 am EDT Leave a comment Go to comments

It was only last Christmas, while visiting family and friends in my home city of Winnipeg, MB (Canada) that I heard about and then watched the appearance of John Steward (of "The Daily Show") on "Crossfire" – a well-known CNN debate program in the US.  Apparently, the show’s been cancelled, and somehow I didn’t hear abou tit.

Guess Stewart’s perceptions about the show, as stated during his brief appearance on it, were shared by some CNN executives.   Regardless, I for one am delighted.  Stewart’s charactizations of the show as being mere "partisan hackery" were truly long overdue!

To the hosts of "Crossfire": good riddance.
