Windows OneCare: Firewall Fun

Have just finished tinkering with my firewall settings following the discovery that the new Microsoft Live! Windows OneCare system takes over your system’s firewall settings & resets them.  So any applications you’ve configured for port-level access to your local network or the Internet get overridden and any applications that, say, want to access a database on one’s local network get blocked.
In my case, the result was that my SourceGear Vault code repository wasn’t available to Visual Studio, so I had to go in and reconfigure my Windows firewall to let it have access again.
Perhaps next time, Microsoft would be kind enough to read the current firewall settings and preserve them or give one the option to do same?
