More Toys to Play with at Microsoft Live!

And Microsoft keeps plodding along, plundering marketshare back away from Google.  Leveraging its browser dominance once again, the software giant has introduced the Live! Toolbar, which is adding a whole series of new gadgets into IE – so many in fact, there’s no longer any room on the screen to show all the icons linking up the services (and my screen sizes are probably above average resolution).

Among the new features is a title called "Onfolio" which is an RSS reader, basically.  But, in accordance with Microsoft tradition, a few more features.  Onfolio is probably as good as any of the RSS readers out there, but it also lets one download and store web pages, which is really handy for those of us who use the Internet for any kind of research and want to keep articles that might otherwise be prone to disappear.  None of these features are new, but the interface, integration with one’s web browser and interoperability with other IE functionality makes this my new favourite RSS tool.

Will it become yours too?
