The “eye” in your IT market — keeping you informed about trends and news affecting your organization.

This is just a quick note I’m sending to my distribution list to advise on my availability and to advise about a temporary service outage for some who may be trying to communicate in the next week or so I had a little accident with my cell phone and due to certain mitigating circumstances, I’ve decided it best to stick with my main number for a week while I get the phone repaired.  This number will receive any voicemails and all calls during the outage period, but I’d expect the old cell number to be operational again by the end of the month.  (There’s also a remote possibility I’ll switch services to a pay-as-you-go system temporarily just to have a cell phone, but since that’d require a new number anyway probably not.  Will advise of any changes.)  In the meantime, please reach me at the following number:

This number is typically that of my home/office, and is often forwarded to my cell number under normal circumstances in any event, so it’s a good number to keep handy in your records.

In other news, I’m currently available — having recently ended an assignment at Public Works & Government Services Canada (PWGSC). But I’ve been fortunate, despite the usual summer doldrums in the local tech market and it looks like I may not be available for much longer.  Still, there’s time to get me bid if you’re looking for someone with strong C#/VB.NET, WCF, tech writing / documentation, technical architect skills with experience using SharePoint, Visual Studio 2010, both Crystal Reports and .NET Reporting Services (to name a few among many skill in my inventory).  So don’t delay in getting in touch if you have a contract or permanent position somewhere on your desk I might yet be a good fit for.  I will keep you posted through this list if there is any change to my availability.

Thanks for your time today and, as always, hope to hear from you soon!
